Pieter has been involved in sailing for the past 22 years. His sailing skills were honed sailing along the east and west coasts of South Africa, notorious for its unpredictable weather. He spent most of his time racing his own sailing yacht in around the cans as well as offshore regattas from his home base at Royal Cape Yacht Club in Cape Town. He has experience in sailing both monohulls and catamarans on extended passages, including a passage with Theresa across the Atlantic Ocean. All of these events has provided him with a wealth of stories and knowledge which he loves to share with guests. Although he has sailed most of the Windward Islands, the British Virgin Islands is their favorite place to be. He is looking forward to showing your clients the beauty of the islands and experience what they have to offer.
Theresa's style is offering fresh, nutritious food, while enjoying tropical island cuisine. Her attention to detail and complimentary fuss free spin on old favourites will have you asking for the recipe in no time! Theresa has travelled the world on her time working on the Queen Elizabeth II Cruise Ship and thus incorporates all different cultures and cuisines to her menu. She is comfortable with all dietary needs and will tailor menus for all requirements.
They have been sailing together for the past 15 years, sharing their passion for adventure and the sea. They have sailed the whole South African coastline including Cape Point, notorious for its stormy weather. They crossed the Atlantic Ocean on their 44ft monohull on an unforgettable journey. Since then they have spent most of this time exploring the Caribbean islands. Their experiences have helped them to make people, even first time charter guests, feel at ease and at home on their boat helping everyone relax and make the most of their time on board.

This was our first BVI charter as a family and having a crew to handle everything made it so special. Pieter and Theresa did an amazing job and their suggestions on every port to visit and where to eat great lobster (Potter’s!) just made the trip very memorable. Will definitely be back to do it again! Highlights were NYE at Saba Rock, Jost Van Dyke and The Baths!

Everything about this charter was beyond excellent.
First of all, Theresa and Pieter are fabulous.
So knowledgeable about the area and any and all weather conditions.
The food was wonderful, beautifully presented and very healthy.
The accommodations on the boat were lovely and we loved snorkeling and paddle boarding.
I believe Haly’s highlight was tubing in the Atlantic Ocean!!!
We all hope we can join them another time for another magical week!!!

My family and I just finished a week in the BVI with Captain Pieter and Theresa as our hosts. We were completely blown away by the experience in the BVI. From the moment we stepped aboard we were taken perfect care of. Captain Pieter had put together a suggested itinerary that was perfect for our family. Every stop was great! He went above and beyond to find the best SCUBA operators for us that could offer the custom, private tips we were looking for. Theresa in the galley day and night, we were never hungry. We were not easy passengers to fee either with one of our group celiac and another dairy intolerant. Nevertheless, she presented us with nonstop gourmet dishes. Captain Pieter and Chef Theresa exceeded our expectations in ever way! The communication we received prior to arriving was quick and responsive and very much appreciated! They were with us every step of the way. We were warmly welcomed about and quickly became very comfortable with them both, it was obvious they knew what they were doing. We visited several bays, plenty of snorkeling, and there was always a snack or meal and drinks at the perfect time each day. Theresa is an amazing cook, especially given the size of the galley on the yacht. she whipped up gourmet snacks and meals every day. Pieter managed the bar for our enjoyment and coordinated snorkeling as often as we pleased along wit some very interesting hikes. It was really enjoyable hearing their sailing stories! It is not often that we can write such a glowing report on an experience like this. We felt so fortunate to have Pieter and Theresa as our crew!
